I'm proud & happy to be recognized as a US citizen, in my own country, finally & get the rights, I've been paying for all along!!!!!!!

If you don't want be / prove your a citizen of the US, there's a whole lot of other countries that would be happy to have you, as a citizen!!!!!

There was a little less tact on our behalf. You can't exactly wriggle your way out of "Royal Marines are a bunch of gay c unts". Especially when the perpetrator thought there was only a couple of them in the bar, and there was five of us. Wrong call. Very very wrong call. i think its bloody insane expecting others to learn english when the english can't speak native american.

untill such a day as that happens i think bilingual (or more) is fine.

here nearly every document comes in Maori, English, and Chinese (voting and governmental documents like the census' should come in every language)

not to be a hypocrit, i think its rude that everyone says "learn english or F-off" sounds a bit like the french, and everyone complains about the french being rude saying "learn french"

learning english should be a recomendation (for their own purposes) but the "demand" of it to me seems a bit rude. but hey thats me.

Great idea! Better yet why dont we say to hell with English and just speak Native American. Which one do you prefer or should we learn all of them? Off the top of my head, I can think of 5 tribes from my state alone.

I am now convinced that a National ID card will not work. This is largely due to Bruce Schneier's essays which I recommend you read if you are interested. They are in the link I offered above.
It's too costly, too complex, to exploitable, etc.. Until they incorporate a biometric aspect it is not worth the outrageous cost.

Do some research into immigration in the US... We have to pay for ballots, hospital care, the entire gambit, for illegals in this country... It's becoming an overwhelming burden.... Areas like Miami, & all SoCal, you can't even read the street signs, because they're in Spanish... Fill out a job application in one of those places, most likely it will be in Spanish... Is that right? Not by a long shot, it's not... This is the US, not Mexico....

We have schools in the US that can't give an adequate education to Americans, because they have to give bilingual education to ileagles.. Now when citizens go without, so ileagles can have, it's time to do something about it....

My Sister-In-Law is a prime example... She immigrated from Bulgaria when she was 14... She's 31 now, married to my brother, has 2 children that are citizens, but she has no desire to become a citizen.... No incentive what so ever... She takes advantage of our education system, takes a job away form a citizen, & thinks it's her right, I guess...

So I feel the same about her as I do the rest... If you want to come to my country, that's fine.... You have one year to come, learn the language, become a citizen, or go back where you came from..... Simple, easy...

i am not arguing against the ID system. i think illegals should be cracked down on, however i think its perfectly fine that they use their own language to do their business.

What everyone here is saying (taking a wild guess of representative statement) is, speak your native language at home or with people who talk it like you, but if you can't learn freakin' English in an ENGLISH country, then screw you!

And I agree. Just like people who come to Quebec and refuse to learn French or integrate themselves to us. This is another land, you better expect to ADAPT.

O, and when you are the boss, be sure to keep us posted on how many you laid off for the reason you stated. I would be rather surprised that you can do without their experience (in case the work requires a certain education or skill set) or whether you can find alternatives that want to do the work and do speak english or swedish (I assume you will take on people that can communicate with you in swedish, exclusively?)
