Resolution problem

Hello,

my screen keeps resetting itself to 1280x1024 but it should be at 1920x1080 and it doesn't give me the option to change it back or set it to anything higher.

The only way I have found to reset it is to unplug everything and leave it overnight.

Does anyone have any idea how to sort this?

Please provide more details:

What is the brand and model monitor?
How is it connected? VGA, DVI, HDMI?
What OS or version of Windows are you running?
How have you tried to set the resolution back?

It's a LOGIK L24LDIB11 connected by VGA and I'm running windows 7 home premium
