Usb power disconnection

Hello! I'm having a problem with my lcd screen and it's usb capabilities.. It's an Benq M2700HD and it gots 4 usb ports. The problem like it's always been, is that whenever I turn on/off my tablelamp (Ikea) everything plugged via usb to the monitor is getting lost.. and then some few seconds later it reconnects it. I also have an Belkin surgemaster to protect my electronics.

Put the lamp or the monitor on a different outlet. You may to stick them on a different circuit even. Should not be happening though, try maybe removing something else from the connections and try the lamp and monitor.

That's the only thing to do aside from get another monitor.
