Voltage settings for a 1 GHz

whats the proper voltage setting for a 1 GHZ thunderbird, and what settings are those on the ASUS A7V. As i've been told this should fix my dodgy boot up problem. Cos when i set the dip switches to that in the manual and leave the voltage on defualt, the comp boots with the processor set to 1109 MHz.

Normal 1,75 v.
when overclocked use 1.85 v.
