  1. Yes, on a desktop PC they are all a standard size. Just make sure the connection interface on the back of the new drive is the same type as your broken one.

    There are two types of connection interface, IDE or SATA.

    If your PC is quite old it will most likely be IDE, but the two types are easily identifiable by any experienced computer person.
