Downloading Music?

Well... I know this is a somewhat controversial topic, so I thought what better place to bring it up then in the "other" forum.

Before I start, I do want to say, that I realize I am posting a semi-serious post in this forum. And I do realize that someone is going to make some kind of comment about releasing their man juices on my face because I am doing this, but I didn't know where else to put it. So here goes...

Everyone always critisizes people who download music, but I think it is a good way to keep musicians honest. In todays world of editing even a crappy artist, who may or may not be a blonde Pepsi drinking bimbo, with no natural tallent can come off sounding perfectly pitched, on tempo, and a well balanced sound. Editing has made it so that artists don't have to excel at there trade anymore... unless... they are in concert.

I am tired of musicians like Lenny Kravitz, who play all the parts of the band, and don't tour anymore. I'm tired of rock bands that don't have to go on tour for years on end. I don't want my favorite band to produce an album every year and not have to tour.

If more of us were "pirating" music wouldn't this solve the problem?? Is this a good solution?? What are your thoughts??
