OK, over at 3dfxgamers everybody is talking about geometry assist in the latest drivers for the voodoo cards. Suppesdly since the + series of K6 CPUs uses the same FPU and 3Dnow! instructions as the the Duron/Athlon it should be possible to enable this.
However the drivers detect a non Athlon/Duron and won't allow it.
Any tweaks/hacks for this?
Thanks...

Seems liek we have to determine if geometry assist is related to 3Dnow! or MMX or FPU...
Anybody know?

Just a real dumb question: Has anyone actually tried to activate geometry assist? :) Maybe there is a simple registry setting....

OK. A very very nice programmer gave it a try and gave me this file.
I HAVE NOT YET TESTED IT MYSELF.
HE NOR I CAN BE RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS.
Get at at dvd3500.org
Go to the K6 optimization section and go ALL THE WAY DOWN to the bottom.
Follow the author's instructions and let me know how it went.
I will try it tomorrow morning.
