Please, any help would be appreciated.

I picked up a motherboard with a socket 370 and slot 1. I purchased a p3 600e secc2 to replace the celeron that was in the socket 370. The motherboard is older so it has an secc form factor. After installing the p3 it would not run. Are secc slot 1 and a secc2 processor incompatible?
