prince o persia warrior within problems......

Hello, i am having trouble with pop warrior within, ive installed the game
fine, but it wont play, i can load the game and only get as far as the
options screen, when i try to start a new game i get an error message saying
the game stopped responding, and the game shuts down, or i get an error
message saying the game ended unexpectedly and it shuts down, ive tried
adjusting various settings, but no joy, i have the prince of persia the sands
of time, which runs perfectly and as far as i can tell it uses the same pc
specs as the warrior within ?
has any one got any ideas ? i was looking forward to playing the game last
night having enjoyed playing the sands of time.
