I have been looking for a monitor around $150usd too. I"m thinking the
Dell 2330mx based on tomshardware review of 23" monitors in February. And now
the price has dropped a lot.

Right now I can find the Dell 2330mx on sale for $145usd, but it's not
in CA. (ha, in Taiwan)
Obviously Asus is from Taiwan so that is a possibility too if I can find reviews
to compare monitors quality at that price level.

I'd love to here other suggestions.

Paid $145 for my LG E2251 Super LED monitor... at this time I am going to NOT recommend it.... lag gaming issues. But might change opinion if its something else causing the issues. My 2 cents.

I just got this yesterday, http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?webid=421821&CatIds=&AffixedCode=&=&=&= great buy, no dead pixels 5ms respond very cheap while the sale is on, only complaint would be that the stand seems a little weak and the monitor speakers are not the best but, monitor makes up for the stand, and who buys a monitor for the speakers? :D

Samsung makes decent monitors and they not expensive at all.
