My previous amulet of order turned to dust when I tried to convert
neutral altar to lawful one. Now I am lost with no means of pushing my
alignment towards lawfulness :-( I completed all Thrundarr's (?) quests,
I've killed Keethrax, waltzed through old graveyard in the mountains.
and accomplished all quests from village (those that were available).
How do I add that damn + sign to my alignment now?

Various methods:

Another amulet of order - I think there are at least two guaranteed ways
to get one (killing Hotzenplotz, and leading Tywat to Lawenilothehl),
meaning you should be able to come up with a replacement.

Giving money (and/or food?) to beggars.

Healing wounded creatures, whether friendly or hostile.

I think there was something about Ruun, the Dwarftown priest, but
details escape me.

I think killing severely chaotic things (black unicorns, etc.) will do
the job, but those can be rare.

Something tells me that there's at least one other way to do it, but
nothiing else is coming to mind right now.

Giving him money. Large amounts of money.

Self-flagellation, via a whip in the tool slot. Quite effective,
especially if you have a good damage whip. Remove your PV first.

I believe some more common 'evil' stuff, like dragons (especially higher
dragons) will always raise it some.

Very effective, even at high levels, if you have a whip of
slaughtering. Even better if you have some -PV equipment & regenerating
equipment.

Ha! It worked, now I will have to wait a bit... Thanks a lot.

Steel golems, (dwarven) chaos knights, and some greater undead (liches
and vampires I think) have given my legally trained PCs the lawful act
message when killed.

Why, blue dragon caves are full of ancient dragons and wyrms :)

How much does "large" stands for?

BTW: Frodo died when trying to kill Ssssomething. Being on 29th level,
of 500 hp with bare hand attack of 1d20+44 or something is not that
great idea. All my wands were emptied, bows were destroyed and didn't
make it to the exit.

Yes, but I wasn't sure they qualified, under the idea of "why make it
hard for chaotic characters to stay chaotic?". Doesn't surprise me that
they do, but would also have not surprised me if they hadn't.
