"@" doing nothing?

In the keybindings and the manual it says that "@" wiil get you info
about your character but pressing it doesn't do anything in my game.
How come?

The default key binding seems a bit broken, I seem to recall. Edit the
file adom.kbd and look for this bit, making sure it's the same:

# Display character information
#

Are you playing the Windows version? What kind of keyboard do you have
(American, British, French, ...)?

Depending on your answer to these questions, you might need to change
the adom.kbd file to map the command to some other key.

It's an error in the Windows version of ADOM (I assume a bug report has
already been submitted for this). You can change the .kdb file as suggested
by others, or you can use "Alt-q" to display the same information.
Personally I'm so used to "@" that I've had to change it...

I had to do the same thing. While I was at it, I changed 'Switch places'
to Ctrl-S. SO much easier than :s on my Scandinavian keyboard where :
requires shift.
