I downloaded the windows 7 and created a bootable DVD . I used the sevenforums imgburn tutorial to burn the ISO,but whenever I try to boot from it , the dash keeps blinking and and it eventually says to put in the bootable disc , blah blah blah.Should I burn another disc with windows image burner? Is there a way to install windows from setup.exe and format the previous windows drive?

Have you told the motherboard to boot from the DVD drive? If so, then you may have a bad disk, either bad (not fully readable) or improperly burned.
