Windows 7 suddenly shutting down while gaming

Hello there, I am having problems with Windows 7 while gaming. After some minutes of playing the computer suddenly shuts down and then restarts saying that Windows needs to be repaired. This only happens while gaming and started after I installed "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic".
I must add that this is a computer I build and my Windows is not original (I think that might be the problem)
Should I delete SWKotOR? Or must I buy Windows?
