I recently backed up the data from an operating install disk i had, however, i only copied the data (like, from explorer) to my hard drive and then burned that. This works great, however, it (obviously) doesn't boot. Is there anyway i can make this data bootable (new cd-r...). I have Nero 5.5, and the original cd got damaged from an accident. Any ideas for making this bootable?
Thanks!

UPDATE: After reading HammerBot's post, I learned just enough information to hit google and search. After maybe 5 mins, I found my answer.

Check it out:

(i'm not sure what the registry editor did, but everything worked from NERO, so all is cool).

In order to make a CD bootable, you will need the bootcode for it. This is not accessibale by ordinary means but can be extracted using a tool like ISO-buster. If you are not able to extract the bootcode from the original source, or get an equivalent, Im not sure its that easy. Perhaps you can use some kind of generic boot code.
What operating install disk is it?
