How Fast can I Go???

I currently have a P3 450 in my Gateway. What is the fastest P3 I could buy and drop in there without getting a new motherboard or making other major changes??? I'm looking for an easy upgrade even if it isn't the cheapest way to go.

you might take it to 700 I suppose, most boards built around the P-III 450 era support upto 600-700 MHz, and a few also go upto 800+.

might check the motherboard manual, or see if the motherboard has such speed setting table printed on it.

Your motherboard should be a SE440BX, not sure if its a SE440BX-2. Check your motherboard part number with gateway.
If you have older SE440BX you can use this product and hit 1Ghz in that older machine. This even works on LX motherboards.
