Dell inspiron mini 10 blank screen

My inspiron mini 10 has blank screen. It is on because I can see the light on
after hard reset light comes back on but no screen? Removed and reinserted battery. Same thing. Remove battery and start up with AC Only -- same thing. Any ideas? Is my screen dead? Thanks

  1. I found a solution after contacting Dell to tell me it is out of warranty by 10 days. The gentleman was nice enough to tell me to try turning on the computer with the blue Fn button pressed down with the on button and then release both at the same time. Then select boot up normally. It appears the hibernate function was involked but then became corrupt so it could not resume. Thought I would answer my own posting just in case someone else has the same problem.

Sorry tactxm but I tried what you say and didn't get any results. Just to be sure that I'm repeating your steps correctly.

    1) You press and hold the Fn key.
    2) Without releasing Fn key, you press and hold the power button.
    3) You release both (the Fn Key and the PowerButton) simultaneously.

    Is this what you did?
    Thanks for you answer.

I have the same problem and when trying the FN key/powerbutton, it didn't work for me, either. Suggestions?
