I was talking to the Dwarven Elder with a lvl 36 Neutral character with
a few corruptions, and I got weird messages from him when talking about
quests.
1) When receiving the reward for a random monster kill (because I
already completed the Golden Gladius quest)... I received the swag
listed in the Guidebook as what a mindcrafter (probably) received. I got
this message after responding with "quest"
"Thrundarr, the ancient dwarf? He, ye art using strange words."
2) Talking to him again yielded this response:
"qUeSt? What a funny word..."
Then he assigned me the Greater Daemon quest as normal
3) Talking to him after killing the Greater Daemon yielded:
"QuEsT? What a funny word..."
The same as the other message, but with the capitalization reversed.
A quick search in the Google Groups yielded no responses... it doesn't
seem to have any effect on gameplay, but was just really weird, because
I've never seen them before.

It happens if you are corrupted. If you have none or just a few levels
of corruption, he will answer normally, but the more corrupted you
get, the more you 'are' chaotic creature - thus you speak like one.
And if you ever tried to speak to some chaotics (Kherab springs in
mind), they also speak in 'ChAoTiC' language. And pure, lawfull dwarf
like elder surely don't understand these bad creatures and their
language. Use some anti-corruption medicine and everything will be all
right.
