$250 price range

So i set out to get my girlfriend a Christmas gift, she wants a small notebook for internet surfing, music, picture and documents management, i already got Microsoft word 2007, i would prefer to work with windows 7 if possible, price range $200 to $250, i was looking at the Asus eePc lineup but i don't know to much about notebooks myself never been a fan as a power user.
the only idea i came up with was http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220743 which I'm not to crazy about, any other suggestions?

    Hi there,

The Asus is a pretty popular choice as far as netbooks go. You might also want to check out the HP Mini 110 by Studio Tord Boontje. It has similar specs and a stylish design. It is very light and sleek, so it will be easy to transport. It may be slightly more expensive than the Asus, depending on where you buy it from, but it is definitely another great option.

    What do you think?

Looks awesome, but is hard to find available

    Here: http://www.amazon.com/HP-110-1135NR-Studio-Tord-Boontje/dp/B002TEH5NU
    Here: http://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&pws=0&q=HP+Mini+110+by+Studio+Tord+Boontj#q=HP+Mini+110+by+Studio+Tord+Boontje&hl=en&sa=X&pws=0&prmd=ivs&source=univ&tbs=shop:1&tbo=u&ei=gBntTPTaBoT78AbJp5Bg&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=15&ved=0CIQBEK0EMA4&fp=9b84a0f9b294c817

    and even here: http://www.hp.com/united-states/campaigns/mini1000/alt.html?jumpid=re_r602_hpmini_alt_redirect_main#/Main/

would the regular Hp mini 110 ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Mini+Netbook+/+Intel%26%23174;+Atom%26%23153;+Processor+/+10.1%22+Display+/+1GB+Memory+/+250GB+Hard+Drive+-+Sonoma+Red/1257224.p?cpncode=25-677160&srccode=cii_7240393&skuId=1257224&ref=16&loc=01&id=1218243230067 ) worth paying extra over the asus ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220743 )?

see i would like a laptop but as you can see its impossible budget wise, which is why im settling for a less expensive net-book, which will do find on surfing the net, and typing some documents on MS 2007 while listing to music.

    Hi there,

The regular HP mini is another great choice if you aren't able to find that exact model. It's a great choice for a netbook and the biggest difference is probably going to be the appearance.

Were you able to locate one? (your link to Best Buy didn't work).

  7. I would recommend checking out dell outlet. They have "previously ordered new" systems that are systems that people have ordered and then cancelled. The systems on there are brand new but much less than dell's normal prices.
  8. Indeed jednx. Have a look here to see if they have any deals going or whether or not they have a particular model that they want to unload:
