HP Scanjet new for $4.95

If you have an Office Max store in your area, they have been running a good buy on the HP 2400 scanner, very basic but.....

It retails at Office Max for $49.99, it is on sale locally for $44.99 and if I send in the rebate form within 14 days, there is a $40 rebate.

So it costs $4.95. I think the special runs through this Sunday. I checked thier web site, but not finding the same deal on-line.

na i don't trust trademe stuff (especially for a scanner)

but i did do a price spy search on it, and i only payed $20 more than the cheapest rate, (which would have come out the same with postage added to it)

so i am not bothered. but i didn't relaise things were so cheap in the states. even $50 USD (without rebate) is a damn good deal.
