talking about the bios chip went bad?? or that windows wont start?? with mb they can lose there settings if the cmos battery goes bad. it a 3.00 part. if the bios went bad from a bad flash some motherboards you can replace the chip. if windows is damaged your better off using a disk like hirem boot cd..boot from it and back your data up and then install windows back on a clean drive.
