Bluetooth External Mouse Failure--with Touchpad Disabled

While using my external Logitech Laser mouse it ceased working--and the touchpad was disabled on the Dell Inspiron Core i5 laptop. How do I get the Touchpad enabled without a mouse pointer?

  1. Usually Fn + mouse pad key on the keyboard.
  2. i know on asus laptops it is the Fn key + one of the Fkeys. there might be small images on them.
