So I have a pII 400 mhz, and supposedly (from Mueller's Upgrading and Repairing PC's) its Slot 2. Not very good. Is the book right, and are there any upgrades for it? I'd like to overclock a cheap celeron. Only good part about this system's that its only 2.0v now so I might be able to get it down to approprate numbers for the coppermine core.

As far as I know slot 2 was only used for Xeons. Intel has a webpage that tells and gives pics.
