this computer is awesome and very reliable. The total price was a little over $3,000 from dell. I get about 103 fps in counterstrike when i run it at the highest res. and details turned up. Windows me isn't that great, however...i'm thinking of doing a clean install of 98se or 2000 (could anyone advise me about windows 2k?? would it be good for gaming, multimedia, and burning cds?? - thanks). If you're familiar with 3dmark, i earned 8,924 marks with it at the default test. But anyway, multitasking is great with the P4. I can burn CDs (at 12x with a plextor) in under 6 mins while playing a game online (such as counterstrike or quake) with no performance decrease. The computer also looks cool - the case is black and silver, the moniter is black, and the speakers (altec lansing ad-885 thx surround w/ subwoofer) are black. To get inside the comp. all i have to do is press a button on the front of the case and a side pops off - really cool. This was a great investment.
