MN-710 Slow Connection Speeds

I have a Cisco 1200 series base station. I recently
purchased a MN-710 adapter for my PC, but the connection
rates are from 1 to 2 MBs. I purchased a Linksys adapter
and consistently get 11MB and better throughput when
locating the adapter in the same location as the MN-710.
My laptop uses the Cisco airnet adapter and also gets
11MB anywhere in the house.

There is generally no more than 1 to 2 computers on at
the same time.

How do I get the better speeds with the MN-710?
