I have a Antec PP-303-x 300watt power supply. I felt that there maybe a problem with power supply. So call Antec and they sent me a new one. After changing the power supply. The CPU temp. changed. Before it would at idle 39C, it was the same everytime. I'm running a FOP38 cooler. With the new power supply it runs at idle 42C. The only change was the power supply. Does anyone have any input on why this happened.

Yeh, your voltages are different now, and your fan is running slower because of lower voltages. Antec seems to have that problem. I put up a post on it myself a while back.

As posted, it has to do with the voltage. You might want to try using a hardware monitor (e.g. simply Asus Probe if you have an Asus board) to look it over yourself.

did you bump your heatsink so it no longer makes good contact with the processor? or did you remove and reinstall your heatsink?

I love ASUS PC Probe.

I also love the fact that I don't need it.

But I run it anyway. :)
