Win 7 on hp laptop

Good morning.
I have an old HP laptop with:
CPU core2duo 1,6 GHz
GPU on board
RAM 1G
Can I run someone version of windows 7?
Now I have windows XP.

Thank you for the link, but I would like to know if anyone of the community has install win 7 on "old" laptop.

Well, I did actually. It's an Acer Aspire 3614WLMi. It has a 1.9GHz Celeron, 2GB ram the 910/915 mobile chipset and a 160GB hard drive. It didn't stay there for long though as the machine wasn't capable of running the aero interface. Hence, it went back to running XP.

If you know your laptop model you could take a look on the HP website and see what, if any, 7 drivers are available for it.
