Hi I'm new aeound here and I was seeking advice on my very first gaming PC. I am looking for it to play guild wars 2 at medium with little or no lag or high if possible. I don't need windows 7 but I may get it somewhere for a discount. I don't absolutely require a monitor but I would really prefer one (can be fairly cheap here, no need for a huge hd LED one :p ) I live in Ireland so shipping to there would be
fairly important but if it comes from america I know ways of doing it :)  My budget is around 500 euro / 400 pounds / 640 dollars roughly .
Judging by other forums this is probably a lot to ask but you have to try :)
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for advice

Thats around £440 if you shop around you will likely shave a bit off. If you can add a £20 CPU cooler to allow some overclocking but its not a must.

Depending on your screen resolution from reading around the requirements that should easily run your medium requirement likely better

How much would a decent monitor be?

also does every monitor work? My dad works at a place where they throw monitors (2-3 years old) out and he can buy the for fairly cheap

2-3 year old monitor would work yes.

well over the next couple of years ill be focusing more on the pc so i can spend more money on upgrades (CPU GPU monitor etc )

Where could I shave some cost off that could be upgraded/replaced later? Because Including a monitor and windows 7 64 bit this would be about 670 euro which might be too much for me.

I have been looking around for a while and people say that a Radeon HD 6770 is a good cheap GPU. I'm not a complete hardcore gamer so I reckon I don't need amazing graphics (used to playing WoW on a crappy home PC on low) and I think I'll be saving a lot by doing this.

if you need to cut money the 6770 would do but beaware when you cut the GPU you do get what you pay for in terms of graphical settings

Yu might be ale to get £20 less price if you get maybe Radeon 6850
