How to fix high contrast resolution on your pc

i can't figure out how to turn off high contrast on my computer. i hate it so much, it makes everything look so crappy and old. its like a computer from the early 1980's. someone please help me.

If this is desktop PC with external monitor, use that monitor' controls to change contrast. For a laptop - there are usually blue-labeled keys you press with Fn key to adjust brightness / contrast.
If you are talking about Windows color scheme - adjust it from Desktop / Display properties in Control Panel.
