  1. Have a look at this one (it's pricey):

    http://www.parts4nb.com/catalogue/product/dell-precision-m50-60gb-internal-hard-drive

Otherwise, be on the lookout for 2.5", 9.5 mm and parallel ATA only, 120GB or smaller.

THANKS!! Appreciate the reply buwish. I spoke with a firm Drive Solutions out in California, they do have a 80 GB in stock 5400rpm Dell for $68 (expensive?) and the gentleman told me that there would be another $27 in shipping to the Toronto area. He went on to say that you can only expand the 2 memory slots to a total of 1 GB (via 2 512's)--unsure but do you know enough about this laptop to verify that?? I wouldn't mind getting a 1 GB bar of memory and maybe got to 1.5 or 2gb--worth it? Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions, I am bringing this laptop back from the dead as it was a hand me down from my uncle(about 8 years old) and I don't wanna invest too much. As far as my needs/usage: mostly streaming videos, emailing, poker, no gaming and general surfing and light downloading.

Thanks and best to ya in the holidays!

    Cheers,

    Jonas
  3. Yep, 1GB is all that it will handle. Take a look at the link below and check out the memory section:

$68 isn't bad for a hard drive BTW.
