I am shpping for a new laptop and am not a tekie. There are two I am looking at-- one has an i5-460M Dual core with 2.53 GHz. The other is an i7-720M Quad Core with a 1.6 GHz. What is the difference?
Since you aren't a technie, I assume you won't be doing much programming on your laptop. Will you be playing a lot of games? If not, the i5 should definitely be sufficient for most other purposes.
