How would you handle blind, deaf, and dumb wizards in a 3E game?
Example one:
I have a 1st edition module which features a blind mage who uses
his raven familiar to see. How would you, as a DM, convert this
to 3E? Has anyone ever played a blind wizard?
Example two:
OK, I can't think of any modules with deaf wizards, nor any who
were deaf.
Example three:
I once created a mute wizard in 1st edition for this group with whom
I played. I got around the obvious spell-casting problems by reworking
his spells so they didn't have a verbal componant to them, or used
Vocalize (a LOT) to cast that which wasn't converted. Do you think
applying the Silent Spell would suffice for a 3E conversion?
