Make sure that both computers have wireless capabilities if you are trying to use them wirelessly.

Hi paula,

got the hint from hedwar? We need a bit more info about your setup to help you! Is it one or two medems now? And do you connect both computers wireless or the PC by wire? And which and what exactly doesn't work?

You probably have a cable modem and a wireless router, note the nomenclature. The modem connects to the cable and to the router with a rj45 cable (ethernet). Then you can use the wireless from the router. There should be a passcode/password on a sticker on the bottom of the router. You can call comcast to confirm this. You can also hook up your laptop and desktop directly to the router with ethernet cables which are much faster and more reliable than wireless....
