In my haste to have a better computer, I have thought about giving my PII 300MHz an upgrade. This is only until I save enough cash for a big big system.

Aopen AX6L mobo
No tinkering been done.
What is a really good CPU to put on to this with the slot1 - socket 370 converter?
Is it a good idea at all?
Additional cooling needed?

I recommend you get an Asus CUSL2-C and a PIII 700E, then overclock that to at least 933mhz.
