I'm looking for a decent monitor I can lower so that it actually sits on the desktop. I wear tri-focals and don't want to tip my head back to see the screen of an iMac. I will be purchasing a Mac Mini.

At work do I have Mac Mini and a 27 inch LED Cinema Display on movable arm. It's wonderful. However for my home office use, I don't want to pay $949 for the display and several hundred more for the arm if I can find a reasonable alternative that works.

Any suggestions?

Carol, welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums!

There are some Dell monitors such as WFP2208, that can be adjusted to be just 1" above the desk surface. I have verified this. All monitors cannot be adjusted this low, so check specs before you buy.

These are available at Dell's Outlet store for well under $200.
