Problems after installing windows 7

Hello, I am trying to figure out why I am having issues with my video players after a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate. I downloaded VLC, the videos that I have played in it are lagging, skipping and the video quality is horrible. So I downloaded KM video player, and in that player when I try to play a video the window box will shrink down and it either will not play or only play the audio for that video. I have a feeling I am missing something that needs to be installed? Does anybody have any idea why both these players are having problems playing? Any help on this matter is very welcomed. Thank you.

Hi , U should Install your VGA Drivers ,
Depending on the model you have u should try
www.ati.com
or
www.nvidia.com

to get them .

Update your Windows Experience Index score and enable Aero while you're at it.

Done and done. It is averaging 4.6 in windows experience, and I enabled Aero as well.
