I just bought a new computer with a 1.2 GHz Athlon Thunderbird with a 200 MHz FSB. Now when I checked on a website called madonion.com it showed that my CPU was a 900 MHz Athlon and that I had a 100MHz Front Side Bus.
How can I find out for sure what CPU I have and what speed the Front side bus is? I looked inside and wasn't able to see the info due to a huge heat sink and fan covering the CPU. By the way the manufacturer told me they would set the CPU to run as if it had a 266MHZ Front side bus---is this possible?
