Just a simple question but I am just learning how to build a system, The question is I have a PIII 866 PGA. The new motherdoard i want to get says it supports PIII FCPGA. Is FCPGA the same as PGA

Your 866 IS FC-PGA. There are three PGA proccessors; FC-PGA (PIII/Celeron2), PPGA (Celeron), and CPGA (AMD Duron/t-bird, not relevant to your parts). The newer Intel compatable motherboards support both FC-PGA and PPGA. So even if you had a PPGA processor it would still work. I only explain this for the newbies-your processor is FC-PGA, and your motherboard is made to support it.
