My system is
AMD Athlon 4600+
MSI k9n neo v3
Nvidia Geforce 6600 gt
3gb ram

Recently i ve installed Windows 7 SP1 on my pc. Until then i had windows xp.
The problem i have is that randomly the sound goes off. No internet audio and no pc file audio.
The volume icon in taskbar doesnt change at all. All i have to do to get the audio back is to disable and re enable High Definition Audio Device from device manager. Anybody knows why this is happening? Is it a compatibility issue? Thank in advance.

When you reinstalled windows did you reinstall the drives for the motherboard? Perhaps you should go to the MSI website and DL the latest audio drivers for that motherboard and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for answering. Well Windows installed the drivers by itself. I will try your suggestion, and see if that helps.
