White borders around the photos

I have Windows 7 and use Windows Live Photo Gallery and have used the wite bordersa around all my photographs. I love them -- but all of the sudden they're're not an option. The only thing unusual that occured before they disappeared was a small pprinter glitch--which was resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. (It wouldn't print photos on photopaper--it's okay now.)
I have a HP Photosmart 7510. I tend to doubt the white border issue is the printer -- Perhaps it's the windows live photo gallery. Any insight or advice would be much appreciated.

Try using Google Picasa, I think it's the best photo manager and simple editor out there.

Although not a fix for your issue, after using Picasa it may not matter what the Windows program does.
