White borders around photos

I figured it out--when in the final photo print page (with options of photo size, # of photos to print etc...) to the bottom right is a little blue word 'options', click on this and in the dialogue box scroll down the list and there will be the option of printing photos with or without borders. Click to choose your reference. I feel a bit silly -- obviously, I was the one who went mucking about.
I hope my Q & A helps someone with the same problem. Thanks again.
