My dad has decided to buy me a laptop with a price range of $800, I know i cant get a great gaming laptop but I was wondering how well the Toshiba Satellite A665D-S6091 would run WoW, these are the specs.

4gbDDR3
1066Mhz memory speed
AMD Phenom II X4 quad core
1.7Ghz processor speed
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Graphics (this is where I'm unsure as to whether it is powerful or not)

if you need more information let me know

More about : good laptop wow

Hi,

Yes I agree with neonmonkey, you will be able to play max details and high resolution with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.
Basicaly, I believe that for WoW, any card thats above the 60$ price range will pretty much perfectly handle WoW...

The 1.7GHZ CPU is not going to allow you to play on ultra (even with that video card). You'd be better with a higher clocked duel core for WoW. WoW is more CPU demanding than GPU demanding. Contrary to popular belief quad core CPUs do not give any performance benefit in WoW. Try to find a laptop with a faster duel core CPU and a decent video card if your goal is to play WoW on ultra. However if you just aim to play on medium settings then that computer would play WoW. Just don't expect to play on ultra with that CPU.
