This is a strange post i know but it seems that there are no places to my knowledge that offer nice desks perfect for a pc at a reasonable price. This is what i have found and will be buying if i can't find anything else. I hope you can help/educate me.

Desk: http://www.officefurnitureonline.co.uk/shop/next-day-so... (1600 length)
Chair: http://www.officefurnitureonline.co.uk/shop/turin-leath...

Total cost with next day shipping is £189.60

Please only post if you live in the UK as american websites will be no use most likely.

A piece of furniture board from Wickes and a couple of desk pedestals from Staples and you could make it to your specific requirements. Mine runs ten feet but has a batten support fixed to the wall.

I'm no DIY expert but I won't buy what I can make if the manufacturers don't build to my ideal. :D

Thanks for the info guys. Great idea. Never though about making my own desk! At the moment I'm using a pretty standard office chair. Looking for something with a bit more of a relaxation factor! I'm currently using a really cool office chair mat I got from the internet . http://www.floormats.co.uk/chairmats This thing has saved my life at work. It used to be a pain in the back side trying to move my chair around the office, now I can move around no problem. Now I think all i'm missing is a homemade desk, and a nice chair.

I checked out the first post but found that these prices are a bit to much, anybody know were I can find a chair a bit cheaper than that??

Just to update you guys. I ordered a massive black desk from officefurnitureonline.co.uk and 2 chairs also. Could not be more happier. It came early next day as intended and was packaged great. There was no damage to the desk apart from some wood shavings inside the package.

The chairs are great appart from the base feeling a little cheap. the good thing is though, 1 of the legs on the chairs broke off and i contacted their support team and they sent out a metal version of the stand for free. It came next day and all i can say is wow... that customer service is great.

The idea of building your own desk is great but tbh, unless you are great with your hands id rather buy a high quality desk.
