I'm trying to OC my Cel 500 with a stock HSF. It has been running for 2 years with this HSF and the thermal compound which it came with. I'd like to change this HSF for a globalwin or similar but I can't get the HSF off. I have released the clip from both sides but it seems to be stuck to the CPU. Is the stock thermal compound a temperature setting adhesive or someting. Do I just ease it off which controlled aggression!!
Thanks for any help

Same thing with my Pentium2 333. I had some compound in there for a year or so, and it got sticky. just pull it off, it should come right off. (I AM NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES DONE TO YOUR CPU!)
