I upgraded a friends computer last week. It was a gateway P2 300. He purchaced a cel 600. I installed it and overclocked it to 900 no problems at all. I did all the work so he gave me the old CPU. It had a heat sink but no fan on it just had the case fan blowing on it. I planned to over clock it as much as i could. So i wanted a new fan and heat sink. I could not get the old H.S. off, broke 2 hex keys. So i took it to the local computer store with "experts". They told me gateway has them made so they don't come off. Tried another store they had no clue. It was like they never saw a SECC CPU before. So i went home and took the plastic cover off and removed the thermal plate. Took my Drill with a small bit and drilled the brass screws out. It worked, put a new fan/HS and it overclocks to 361(103*3.5) without and voltage added. Not bad for a $10 fan!!!
