T-Bird Temp Threshhold

ok when i first built my system, i had a 1.1 tbird, copper spacer and FOP38, the copper spacer and FOP38 somehow were shorting the cpu out, so i was forced to use the stock AMD heatsink/fan.... i wanna know what is the maximum AMD threshold, and (i'll never overclock) will the amd heatsink be enuf or should i try to get a working FOP38? mine runs anywhere between 47-51ºC

Well if you´re not going to overclock then probably you don´t need such a noicy thing as the FOP 38. The FOP 32 will keep you cool enough while not being so loud...

You really don't want a FOP38 (MASSIVE overkill)...and 47C-51C is well within spec.

195 is the MAX TEMP... operate at around 150 normally..

OK... Just to clarify, you said you were running at 47-51 C. Even at 55 C, you are only at 131 F, which isn't a problem at all. If what you have works, keep it.
