How to use my camera with ubuntu on my easynote te packard bell laptop

If you want to transfer pictures from the camera to your laptop, buy a card reader. Plug it into your laptop's USB port then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into the card-reader.

That's the smart way to do it. Connecting a camera to a PC or laptop requiresa third-party driver and or other software and it's just an unnecessary hassle when there's an easier way.

Digital camera or webcam?

Digital camera - Try Shotwell it's installed by default in Ubuntu

Webcam - Install Cheese http://projects.gnome.org/cheese/ - it should be in the repos.
