i need help every time i boot up max payne, the game starts fine until i try to start a new game. when i do it loads up half way, but then just boots me out to the desktop. its really doing my head in. my os is xp pro and i am using a geforce 3ti/200 graphics card, along with an amd xp 1700.
Any help would be most gratefull.

check for a patch on their site. i had a simplar problem with the game crashing to desktop after scene 1 and win 2k. the patch fixed it.

....the birds seemed to be calling him, thought caw....

My roommate had the same problem. Have you added RAM to your system? If so, try taking it out. That's what we did and it worked fine.
