Win7 \

I GET A BLUE SCREEN WHEN CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET - "DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_THAN_EQUAL" APPEARS AT THE TOP. I HAVE USED FIXCLEANER AND DRIVER UPDATE BUT IT STILL COMES BACK. I HAVE WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL SINCE I USE XP MODE FOR SOME OLDER SOFTWARE THAT WON'T RUN ON WINDOWS 7. I MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESTORE TO AN EARLIER DATE BUT IT IS TEMPORARY AT BEST. THAT ACTUALLY LED TO ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH "DCIMAN32.dll" ERRORS WHICH I WAS ABLE TO FIX. I HAVE UPDATED AND DOWNLOADED SOFTWARE VIA THE INTERNET SO I WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME RELOADING ALL OF THIS. THE OLDER SOFTWARE IS ALSO NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE.

I HAVE UPDATED ALL THE DRIVERS AND TRIED TO RUN DELL DIAGNOSTICS BUT I DON'T SEEM TO HAVE THE DELL RESOURCE CD TO DO THE DIAGNOSTICS.

MY COMPUTER IS DELL XPS L502X. I USE A CRICKET USB PLUG-IN FOR INTERNET SERVICE. I WILL CHECK WITH CRICKET TO SEE IF THE HARDWARE IS THE PROBLEM. I AM ALSO CHECKING MY USB PORTS TO SEE IF ANY OF THEM ARE WORKING BETTER THAN THE OTHERS.

FRUSTRATED,

  1. LOL fix cleaner and driver update put more SPAM on your sytem then if you started surfing porn. I recomend a clean re-install, your system probably has way to much junk on it to be easy to clean up.

My problem existed before I used fix cleaner and driver update. I thought about that before using them but didn't have anything to lose. I have a couple of ideas left before I re-install.

I use a Cricket USB plug-in for my internet service. I will see if they can give me a new one. Also I am experimenting with the 3 USB ports on my computer to determine if there is any difference.

Sometimes it crashes immediately when I access the internet then again I can be on 5 hours and nothing happens. I've been hooked up 2 hours now and it is working fine at the moment.
