PS3 HDMI to DVI not working

So, I Connected my ps3 to my monitor which has a DVI with HDCP support. I switched on the ps3 while holding the button for 6 seconds until I heard a beep, everything comes up but monitor shows black screen and the power led blinks. .

PLEASE HELP
